The artwork of John Reis will be exhibited in Gallery by The Bay May through June. John is a new attendee at Unity by The Bay, but his being in Oregon is not new. Born in Klamath Falls, it is like coming home to John, having lived all across the country, most recently in North Caroline before retiring and settling here in Coos Bay.
Deeply spiritual himself, his art expresses the radiance of life here on earth and beyond earthly boundaries with brilliant color displays representing what he envisions life to be on the spiritual side and his own growth and understanding of his soul’s journey.
When asked about purpose and what prompted his spiritual quest he said, “My job is service, and to be of service to others”.
Not only is John a fine artist but is a Jazz pianist and singer.
He has much to his credit including author of two books, teacher at University of Texas, Embry Riddle Aeronautical University, Western Kentucky University and East Carolina University. At one time was employed by Chevron Corporation in Eugene.
He received his B.S. Nuclear Engineering from Oregon State his freshman year, went on to receive his M.S and PHD in Mechanical Engineering at Stafford University in Palo Alto, California.
